Freelancing the Answer to Employment Crisis!

When times are bad and job vacancies are like finding a needle in the haystack Freelancing may be the answer to your financial worries.

Think about it. Freelancing may not be that bad for you. I have listed some things that may have crossed your mind but did not have the heart to entertain them:
  • You have the skill and you may have been doing something for years now while your boss is reaping the full benefits of your skill while you get the scraps from his/her table.
  • Freelancers manage their own time and have no boss telling them what to do and what not to.
  • Freelancers dictate how much they get paid.
  • Depending on what your skills are, you may not have to wear stuffy suit everyday anymore.
  • Depending on what your skills are, you may be able to cut down on your transportation expenses.
  • Freelancers get more quality time with their loved ones.
  • You get to do what you love an make money from it.
  • You may get so good at what you are doing that you may never have to work for anyone ever again.
Freelancers have the easy life, but you cannot become one if you do not act on it now! You can start with a friend or a family member that needs your skills. Just be sure to charge them really low the first time or even render services for free just to prove that you can be trusted on doing what you are supposed to and doing a very good job at it. Once they see that you are indeed a professional at what you are doing these friends or family members will start to recommend you to their friends. Now you better not give these people freebies like what you gave your friends who recommended you but do give them a hefty discount and be sure they know that they had a discount. The cycle goes on and on... while your discounts get smaller and smaller and your prices or fees gets higher and higher. Before you know it you will be charging your clients double of what you really intended whe you first started your freelancing gig.
